Flor Salas

the heart of Positive Action Rehab & Performance. While her husband Edwin is focused on providing top-tier physical therapy, Flor ensures the clinic runs smoothly by delivering exceptional customer care and business support.

Inspired by Edwin’s passion for quality care and his frustrations with the limitations of insurance-driven practices, Flor joined him in creating Positive Action Rehab & Performance. Together, they set out to build a clinic where patients receive the best care possible, free from the constraints of traditional insurance models.

​

Flor brings award-winning expertise in marketing and communications to the clinic, complementing Edwin’s clinical knowledge perfectly. Before dedicating her career full-time to the clinic, Flor served as the Director of Marketing and Communications for Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, where she connected with the community, media, donors, and families. From 2012-2018, Flor worked for the City of San Antonio, where she started as an intern with the San Antonio Fire Department Public Information Office (PIO).

 

After completing her Master’s Degree in Digital and Strategic Communications from Texas State University in 2014, she quickly rose through the ranks from Public Information Officer with the Department of Human Services to becoming the Senior Public Information Officer at the Public Works Department. In this role, she helped develop strategies to advance the city’s infrastructure.

Flor holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Business from Our Lady of the Lake University. She obtained her Health Coaching Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and she's passionate about holistic health and enjoys helping others improve their wellbeing.

​

Flor is also an alumni of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Alexander Briseno Leadership Development Program and the Latina Leadership Institute (LLI). In her downtime, she enjoys CrossFit at King William District CrossFit (especially when she beats Edwin in the WODs), morning walks along the Riverwalk with her family, and reading WWII historical novels. Her favorite part of the day? Cuddling and playing with her son, Luciano.
