You’ll leave with a clear, personalized roadmap to stay "unbreakable."

Christmas Day of 2021 I broke my big toe and spent the next several weeks in a boot. After finally getting out of the boot, my foot was very weak. I tried to slowly ease back into activity (nothing crazy, just walking and squats basically) but after another few weeks, I developed a neuroma, a sprain, and plantar fasciitis.

Starting in June of 2022, I spent the next several months working with two different physical therapists and a podiatrist to try to get my pain under control and get back to my active lifestyle. Rest, physical therapy, injections, you name it. Nothing helped, and my hobbies and favorite activities were nearly entirely off limits, not to mention the amount of time and money I was spending with no improvement. What started as “just” a broken toe had evolved into a dumpster fire.

I was introduced to Positive Action and had my first appointment with Edwin in October 2022. By December 2022, we were slowly incorporating running (pain free!!) in my physical therapy. In April 2023 I was cleared for attempting ALL activity, though I have to ease into duration of activity to build my tolerance/strength back up.

I’ve spent the summer enjoying increasing amounts of EVERYTHING I missed out on for over a year: lifting, running, hiking, paddleboarding, yoga, etc. Even ~wearing heels~ haha. Today I ran my first “official” 5k. 10 months ago I was in pain just walking and was being told (by a different doctor) that I needed surgery and that surgery might not even help my pain (?!).

Edwin accomplished what 3 other doctors couldn’t do: eliminated my pain and got me back into ALL physical activity without surgery, medication, or injections. Driving to San Antonio from Austin for physical therapy sounds insane to some but every day off from work, every mile, every penny has been worth it to get my quality of life back. I am SO grateful for Positive Action!
